Hello, and welcome to my blog!  I am a full time student and recent high school graduate.  I love music, family, food, and church.

Having been homeschooled since preschool, I have not had the average life.  Although my parents did not break any records with the number of children they had, I do come from a rather large family by most standards.  There are six of us total: five boys and one girl.

Besides tripping over siblings and correcting homeschool misconceptions, I have found a love for God, the Bible, and church.  Evidently, I will be starting college this fall at Oral Roberts University, a small Christian university in Tulsa Oklahoma, to obtain degrees in both theology and writing.

Nearly my entire family has been involved in church in some way for my whole life.  Serving mostly in kids, we have done almost anything to illustrate a point or keep our tough crowd engaged and learning.

Along the way, I somehow got the idea to learn the banjo.  Now, my brothers and I play in a no-name, self-made brothers band mostly as a hobby.  Aside from that, we play worship at our church.  Which, by the way, allowed me to become one of the first banjoists to be incorporated into songs like “This is Living” by Hillsong Young and Free!

When I’m not making music or serving at church, I often find myself caught in the middle of a good book, trying to edit my first attempt at a novel, or simply writing poetry for fun!  I love all things related to stories and written language.  Some would call me a bookworm, but I call myself a word nerd.

I hope you enjoy my blog!  May you learn from it and laugh at it as it takes you through my failures, successes, struggles, and victories.
